Call for Nominations: College of Fellows
Lewis Goetz, FIIDA, Chair of the IIDA College of Fellows, announces that the 2010 process for applying for Fellowship is now open. Only Professional Members in good standing who have been a Member of the Association for a minimum of five consecutive years may apply. Call for Entries: Hospitality Product Design Competition
The 14th Annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition is a collaboration between IIDA and Hospitality Design magazine. This competition honors designers and manufacturers for excellence and innovation in product design for the hospitality industry. The deadline to request an entry kit is Friday, April 16. New Compliance Period Announcement
A new compliance period began January 1, 2010 and will continue through December 31, 2011.
The new compliance period applies if you became either a Professional or Associate Member (active and inactive) prior to January 1, 2010. This allows you a full two years to complete the 1.0 CEU (10 contact hours) requirement. If you became a Professional or Associate Member after January 1, 2010, your first compliance period will begin January 1, 2012.

This is just a reminder that IIDA Member Cards are now electronic. IIDA believes in sustainability, from our LEED CI Gold Certified headquarters to the publications we produce. In these ongoing efforts, your annual Member Card is now an electronic version that you can print as needed. Your access to IIDA's online Membership section provides a link to your individual electronic Member Card.

The National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) presented the Louis S. Tregre Award to Laura McDonald Stewart, IIDA, founder of Plinth & Chintz, during the 2009 Annual Council of Delegates Meeting last month in San Antonio, Texas. The award recognizes an individual for outstanding volunteer service at the grassroots level in support of NCIDQ’s mission to protect the health, life safety and welfare of the public by establishing standards of competence in the practice of interior design.
